PWA Falcons Fall To Maine In OT To End Season
The PWA's played 53 games this season and you can count
on one hand the number of times the team did not come to play and
leave everything
they had
on
the ice.
Saturday
night's Valley semi-final playoff game was no exception. They knew
they were without Kyle Larson and DJ Yost but the A's pulled up their
socks
and
played as tough and with as much heart as they have done all year.
Losing in OT is always tough to swallow however the memory of this
game will
fade and the memories of all the fun they had this season will remain
with them forever. The Falcons tied the game with just over a minute
to play and the extra
attacker
on the ice. After a 5 minute sudden death period, it was in the shootout
that the Falcons ended up on the short end.
There
is no
way
to single
any one player out from this game since everyone played so well. Keep
your heads high and remember, "Once a Pee Wee A, Always a Pee Wee
A". The final team stats have been
updated.
-Chris
Kontos & Tom Conway Win PWA IronMan!
For the second year in a row and 4th time overall, two
Pee Wee A's completed the season with PERFECT attendance!
Chris Kontos and
Tom Conway made all 53 games, 63 practices and 2 scrimmages! What an amazing
accomplishment. Mike Allain
finished in second place with only two practices missed. One of the toughest
awards in all of sports (ok, maybe a slight exaggeration)
is the
Pee Wee
A IronMan.
The award is given out at the end of each season to the player or players
who miss the least amount of ice-time. Congratulations to both Chris and
Tom!

A's
Battle Hard But Fall In State Tournament
The Pee Wee A Falcons run for the title ended last Saturday afternoon
with a tough 2-0 loss to Charlestown. The A's were in it til' the end,
down
1-0 until the final two minutes when a power play goal sealed the victory
for the Townies. The A's once again played like a team and their efforts,
sportsmanship, and class should make Danvers proud. The A's finished
the states with a 2-1 record. The Falcons will keep their heads high
and look forward to the Valley playoffs.
